About Us
Bill Rennaker:
Bill opened the original Cave Excursions in Luraville in 1994 and revolutionized the way the world buys gas. Operators throughout the states have modeled their fill stations after Bill's and his method of charging by the cubic foot. In 2003 Bill opened Cave Excursions East in High Springs along with his partner Lee.
Dr. Lee Gibson:
He opened Cave Excursions East with Bill in 2003, has been cave diving since 1979 and has more than 2000 safe cave dives under his belt. He lives on the Santa Fe river, has served on the NACD board, is a guide at Hart Springs and practices medicine when he is not out looking for new caves to explore.
Rich Courtney:
Rich started at Cave East six months after they opened and is the store manager. Rich is an accomplished cave diver with well over 1000 cave dives, has been teaching diving since 1994, is an instructor for NACD, NAUI, NSS-CDS, PADI and TDI and is the Regional Cave Safety Officer for the area. He's currently pursuing a college degree, has received his Abe Davis and Wakulla awards as well as his DPV certification and is now the proud owner of a new Silent Submersion!
Elisha Gibson:
Elisha is the newest member of our crew at Cave East. She is an open water instructor who finished up her Full Cave last November and decided to move down here so she could cave dive as much as possible. Due to her love and dedication to the sport, she's already received her Abe Davis and Wakulla awards, DPV certification and taken up the fine art of sidemounting!
Konstantin Kovalenko:
Konstantin is originally from
Moscow, Russia
, but came to us from Utah where he's
currently visiting in search of more caves to dive. He teaches cave diving through the NACD and mixed gas classes through TDI and SSI. He also owns the world's finest cave diving vehicle with its own compressor and bank system! You can check out his website at http://underwaterdynamics.com
